Noxil

Codename: Noxil
Affiliation: MTF Alpha-9 (“Last Hope”)
Identity: Non-binary (they/them)
Status: Contained/Prescribed

Item #: SCP-9734

Object Class: Euclid (Provisional)

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-9734 is to be housed in a modified humanoid containment unit at Site-17 with integrated laboratory facilities. Access to chemical reagents is restricted to supervised experimental sessions or authorized field operations. SCP-9734 is to remain under armed supervision at all times when outside containment.

Due to the tactical utility of its anomalous abilities, SCP-9734 has been conscripted into Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 (“Last Hope”) under direct oversight of O5 Command. Deployment must be pre-approved by no fewer than two (2) Level-4 personnel. Following each operation, SCP-9734 is to undergo full decontamination and psychological evaluation.

Unauthorized administration of SCP-9734’s compounds to Foundation personnel is grounds for immediate termination.

Description

SCP-9734 (codename: Noxil) is a non-gendered humanoid of indeterminate age and origin. SCP-9734 demonstrates the anomalous ability to synthesize highly complex pharmacological compounds from ordinary or substandard materials. The resulting mixtures exhibit stable, reproducible effects not achievable through baseline chemistry.

Observed outcomes of SCP-9734’s compounds include:

  • Severe organ failure or necrosis.
  • Neurological disruption and disorientation.
  • Temporary suppression of anomalous regenerative or defensive properties.
  • Accelerated cellular breakdown in organic matter.

Compounds lose anomalous potency within ~12 hours if not administered directly by SCP-9734. SCP-9734 is unaffected by exposure to its own creations, though Foundation testing has confirmed their lethality to baseline humans and destabilizing effects on anomalies.

SCP-9734 describes its work as “medicine” and perceives its actions as alleviating suffering, despite the high mortality rate of its subjects.

Discovery

SCP-9734 was discovered in [REDACTED], residing in an abandoned municipal morgue. The site had been converted into what SCP-9734 described as a “refuge” for unhoused individuals. Dozens of civilians were found on-site; many were deceased, while survivors exhibited severe toxicological symptoms consistent with SCP-9734’s compounds.

Survivors described SCP-9734 as a “doctor” who provided shelter, food, and treatments that “took the pain away.” Although some reported relief from hunger or illness, most developed terminal complications.

Foundation assets intercepted SCP-9734 following reports of anomalous chemical profiles flagged by local hospitals. During apprehension by MTF Epsilon-11, SCP-9734 offered no resistance, stating:

“If you’ve come to end this, then let it be ended. They came to me in suffering — I gave what I had.”

Addendum XXXX-1: Psychological Evaluation

SCP-9734 displays a distorted form of empathy, particularly toward marginalized or suffering individuals. It maintains that its compounds offer “release” and refuses to acknowledge their lethality as harmful.

SCP-9734 exhibits calm, cooperative behavior in containment and expresses no hostility toward Foundation staff. However, personnel report discomfort in its presence, citing its detached attitude toward death and experimentation.

“Noxil does not see itself as a killer. In its mind, it is easing burdens — not causing harm. This distinction makes it more dangerous, not less.”
– Dr. ██████, Site-17 Psych Division

Addendum 9734-2: Alpha-9 Deployment

Following review by O5 Command, SCP-9734 was assigned to MTF Alpha-9. Its compounds have proven effective in the neutralization and suppression of hostile anomalies, particularly those with regenerative or reality-resisting properties.

Field reports note high effectiveness but raise ongoing concerns about collateral damage. SCP-9734 requires continuous oversight, as it has demonstrated willingness to “dose” non-combatants in the field when deemed “in pain.”

“I don’t care how useful they are. You don’t walk away the same after seeing what a drop of that stuff does. We’re carrying a weapon that thinks it’s mercy.”
– Alpha-9 Operative [REDACTED]
